A software company with an operator's mindset.
Luso Technologies exists because too much good work here is still slowed down by systems that were never designed for it. We build the software that removes that friction, and we stay to keep it running.

Engineers who kept seeing the same gap.
We started Luso Technologies to do serious engineering work from Lusaka, for the businesses around us and the ones further afield. Not offshore labour for someone else's roadmap — products owned, designed and shipped here.
In client work we kept meeting organisations doing important things on top of spreadsheets, paper files and WhatsApp threads. The technology to fix it already exists; what is missing is a team that will sit with the problem long enough to build the right thing.
So that is the whole company: custom software, SaaS platforms, and the design work that decides what gets built. Nothing else, done properly.
Luso means skill, or craft, in Chichewa — it is what our clients are really buying.
How we behave when it matters.
Skill is the product
Luso means craft. Clients are not buying lines of code, they are buying the judgement that decides which lines to write.
Built for how work happens here
Intermittent connectivity, mixed devices, mobile money, multiple languages. We design for the conditions on the ground, not an idealised user.
Ownership, not hand-offs
We treat every product as ours until it works in production. No throwing code over a wall and calling it delivery.
Plain speech
Clear estimates, honest trade-offs, and no jargon used to hide risk. You will always know where a project stands.
One company, three kinds of work.
Custom software
Web and mobile apps built to fit how your business actually works, not how a template assumes it does.
SaaS products
Cloud platforms with subscriptions, dashboards and secure payments — built to be run, not just launched.
Product design
Interface and experience design that makes complex operational software feel obvious to use.
Want to work with us, or for us?
We are always open to new clients and to good engineers who want to build from here.
